Enjoy the flexibility of having freshly dried King Trumpet Mushrooms available any time for your next meal, recipe or special event.  Dried mushrooms are easily rehydrated back into fresh mushrooms. Directions are are printed on the label of each bag.


King Trumpet mushrooms have a thick, meaty stalk that is best suited for grilling, roasting, baking, sautéing, or frying. They can be sliced or torn into thick pieces and simmered or braised to create a crispy texture, or they can be cut into rounds to develop a tender, meat-like consistency.  The use of butter in cooking helps to bring out their exceptional flavor. If you are looking for a meat-free dish, King Trumpet mushrooms can be a great meat substitute in your favorite recipes.


Dried King Trumpet Mushrooms

  • Store package in a cool dry place prior to using.  Soak (steep) dried mushroooms in hot water (200-210 F) for 15-20 minutes.  Periodically stir mushrooms while soaking.  Use strainer to carefully remove mushrooms from the hot water.  Once they have been removed, rinse mushrooms with fresh water.  1 oz of dried mushrooms reconstitutes to 4 - 5 oz.
